Atar Wins Against Khorfulus in Padang Tournament

Juba: Al-Wadi

The Atar team secured a 2–1 victory over Khorfulus in the opening match of the Padang Football Tournament in Juba, held yesterday afternoon at Buluk Playground.

The tournament, which features 12 teams divided into two groups of six, represents the Padang communities and was officially launched in the presence of several officials, including the Deputy Director of Dar Petroleum Company “DPOC”, the Commissioner of Maluth County, and a number of national and state parliament members.

Atar took the lead with the opening goal, ending the first half ahead.

After the break, Khorfulus equalized. However, just minutes before the final whistle, Atar scored the winning goal to claim all three points and move to the top of Group A.

Two matches are scheduled today in Group A: Rut will face Maluth at 10:00 AM. while Abiemnom will take on Abyei at 3:00 PM at Jamus Playground.
