Young Star Torit secured a valuable point after forcing third-placed Holy Family Rumbek to a 3-3 draw in the opening match of the 21st round of the South Sudan Premier League, played yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

The Torit side was leading Holy Family 3-2 up until the end of regular time.
Young Star’s goals came from Lado Pellegrini, who scored twice, and an own goal by Holy Family’s Akot. Holy Family’s goals were scored by Justin Azuma, Nhiak Agany, and Daniel Dut.

With this result, Holy Family raised their tally to 42 points, maintaining third place in the league standings. Meanwhile, Young Star reached 12 points, sitting in 13th place—second from bottom.
Today, Salam Aweil and Kator Juba face off as part of the 21st round fixtures. Kator aims to widen the gap between them and second-placed Jamus, while Salam looks to improve their position in the middle of the table.
