The President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has received a report from Vice President Hussein Abdelbagi Akol on the outcomes of his recent visit to Lakes State.
In his briefing to the President, the Vice President said he represented the government at the graduation ceremony of Rumbek University of Science and Technology, where he also held meetings with local leaders and community representatives to discuss key development issues in the state.
He noted that citizens raised a number of concerns, including the need to improve security conditions, accelerate the implementation of the Juba–Bahr el Ghazal road project, and expand telecommunications services to enhance communication across the region.
The Vice President also briefed the President on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Health and the United States aimed at supporting and improving healthcare services in the country.
For his part, President Kiir welcomed the report, stressing the importance of continued direct engagement with citizens to address their needs and strengthen development efforts across all states of South Sudan.
