Atlabara tightened its grip on the top spot in the local First Division League in Juba after securing an important 2-1 victory over rival Simba in the final match of the 19th round of the league.
Atlabara waited until the 25th minute to break the deadlock, with a goal from its player Nyalimo. The in-form Kiir Manger then doubled the lead in the 36th minute, closing the first half with a 2-0 advantage.

After the break, substitute Ammar pulled one back for Simba in the 63rd minute, scoring his team’s only goal. However, the match ended with Atlabara securing a 2-1 victory.
With this result, Atlabara solidified its position at the top of the league with 42 points, while Simba remained at 19 points, placing them in ninth position in the standings.

Today, Gudele and Amarat United will face off in the opening match of the 20th round of the league in the afternoon at Buluk Playground.
