The Governor of Upper Nile State, Jacob Dollar Ruot, has held a consultative meeting with representatives of the Zhol Community in Nasir County, as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with local communities across the state.
The meeting was attended by community leaders, elders, as well as representatives of youth and women, where participants discussed a range of issues affecting residents, including security conditions, service delivery, infrastructure development, and social cohesion.

During the meeting, community representatives outlined key challenges facing the area, along with their priorities and future aspirations, reaffirming their support for government efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, and development in the region.
For his part, the Governor commended the unity and cohesion of the Zhol Community, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships between the government and local communities to achieve sustainable development. He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing the concerns raised and improving living conditions across the state.
The Governor further called on citizens to continue promoting peaceful coexistence and to actively participate in development programs, in a bid to enhance stability and support progress in Upper Nile State.
