The President of the Republic, Salva Kiir Mayardit, received at the Presidential Palace in Juba on Monday a high-level delegation that had concluded an official visit to the Egypt. The delegation was led by the Presidential Advisor for National Security Affairs, Gen. Tut Gatluak Manime, as part of a strategic mission aimed at enhancing relations between the two countries.
The delegation delivered a special message to the President underscoring the importance of advancing joint cooperation between Juba and Cairo, and further developing bilateral partnership in a manner that serves mutual interests.



The head of the delegation explained that the discussions held during the visit addressed several issues of common concern, including water resource management, developments in neighboring Sudan, as well as ongoing preparations for South Sudan’s upcoming elections.
This move comes within the framework of the government’s active diplomacy and its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations as part of its broader foreign policy vision.
Observers believe the step reflects the continued positive momentum in South Sudan–Egypt relations, which are built on dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect, amid the region’s rapidly evolving developments.
