His Excellency Jacob Dolar Rwot, Governor of Upper Nile State, accompanied by Renk County Commissioner, Mr. Deng Deng Luith, held a consultative meeting with the chiefs of Renk County as part of efforts to strengthen partnership and coordination between the state government and traditional leadership.
The meeting aimed to consolidate institutional cooperation, discuss issues related to peace, security, and social cohesion within the county communities, and address local challenges and citizens’ needs, highlighting the pivotal role of traditional authorities in promoting unity and stability.
During the session, the Governor listened to the chiefs’ inputs and observations on community conditions, emphasizing the crucial role of chiefs and traditional leaders in maintaining public order, resolving local disputes, and supporting government initiatives at the grassroots level.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Upper Nile State government’s commitment to close and collaborative work with traditional institutions, contributing to addressing citizens’ concerns and promoting stability and sustainable development.
For his part, Renk County Commissioner Mr. Deng Deng Luith praised the constructive meeting, calling for continued coordination and cooperation between local authorities and traditional leaders to ensure lasting peace and advance the county’s development agenda.
