The leadership of the Revitalized Transitional Legislative Assembly of Central Equatoria State has announced February 11 as the tentative date for the resumption of parliamentary sittings, following a consultative meeting between the Assembly’s leadership and the State Governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony.

The announcement comes as part of efforts to fast-track legislative work after a prolonged recess, during which the two sides discussed ways to reactivate the Assembly and begin addressing pending legislative matters.
The resumption of parliamentary business is considered a key milestone in Central Equatoria State’s political process, as lawmakers are expected to return to the Assembly chambers to deliberate on the legislative agenda for the 2026 parliamentary session, contributing to political stability and improved governance in the state.
