The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, held an expanded meeting to mark the New Year, focusing on strengthening preparations to ensure the effective implementation of the state government’s four main agenda items: peace and security, the reorganization of Juba City to meet international urban standards, agricultural empowerment through cooperative societies, and the enhancement of social services across the state.
During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the need for all ministers to intensify their efforts to ensure that services are delivered to citizens efficiently and on time. He noted that the New Year represents an opportunity to promote unity, peace, and harmony, and to achieve government objectives through effective leadership and sustained commitment beyond daily tasks.
The meeting highlighted the state government’s dedication to achieving its developmental agenda, enhancing security and stability in Central Equatoria, and advancing lasting peace.
In attendance were the State Deputy Governor, Paulino Lukudu Obede, a number of advisors and cabinet ministers, members of independent commissions, the Juba County Commissioner, and the leadership of the Juba City Council, headed by H.E. Sarafino Wani Swaka.
