The Minister of Trade and Industry, Atong Kuol Manyang, met today with the Commissioner General of the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA), Mr. William Anyuon Kuol, to discuss ways to enhance trade facilitation across the country and improve cross-border trade procedures.
The meeting focused on the One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) project, funded by the European Union and UNOPS, through which the Ministry aims to accelerate trade flow and simplify the movement of goods.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry stated that it will oversee the project in close coordination with the SSRA and other relevant government agencies, noting that the meeting serves as a follow-up to the approval of the project’s design and the modern market initiative, allowing for direct engagement with key stakeholders.
For his part, Commissioner General William Anyuon Kuol expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and affirmed the SSRA’s full readiness to support the project and initiatives aimed at facilitating trade and streamlining customs procedures at border points.

The Minister of Trade and Industry praised the SSRA’s spirit of cooperation, highlighting that Mr. Anyuon’s previous experience as Minister of Trade and Industry gives him a deep understanding of the challenges facing the Ministry, enhancing the effectiveness of the Authority’s support for joint projects.
The meeting concluded with an agreement by both parties to conduct a joint field visit to the project site before the end of January 2026, to strengthen cooperation and ensure proper monitoring of project implementation on the ground.
