President Kiir Reviews Report on Resumption of Work at Panthou/Heglig Oil Fields

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has reviewed a detailed report on the resumption of work at the oil facilities in the Panthou (Heglig) area during a meeting with a high-level government delegation.

The report was presented by a delegation led by the Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs, Tut Kaluak Manime, who briefed the President on the security and technical situation in the area, as well as recent developments in oil production, noting that operations are progressing well.

In a press statement, Advisor Tut Kaluak said that all technical and engineering teams have returned to their duty stations in Heglig to continue their work, praising the commitment of the parties in Sudan to protecting the oil infrastructure, which is of vital importance to both countries.

During the meeting, President Kiir directed the Ministry of Petroleum to ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted oil production, emphasizing that stability in the oil sector contributes to improved delivery of basic services to the citizens.
