El-Merrikh Beats Koryom with a Six-Goal Thrashing

In a rescheduled match from Round 21 of the South Sudan Premier League’s inaugural season, El-Merrikh Bentiu delivered a dominant performance by defeating Koryom Bor 6–0 yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

The six goals were shared between Nigerian players Samuel and Chikidi, who each scored twice, with Nelson Victor and substitute Jack James adding one goal each.

With this victory, Al-Merrikh raised their tally to 52 points, moving into fourth place. Meanwhile, Koryom remains at 40 points, holding sixth place in the league table.

Jamus 3 × 0 Young Star
Jamus continued their smooth path toward securing the Premier League title by defeating Young Star Torit 3–0 in another rescheduled match from Round 14, played yesterday at Juba National Stadium.

The goals for Jamus were scored by Christian Theodor, George Rodriguez, and Mohamed Adel.

Young Star has now been officially relegated from the Premier League this season, sitting in 13th place ahead of bottom-ranked Nile City Yambio, who have just 5 points.

With this win, Jamus solidified their lead at the top of the table with 62 points and two matches remaining. Young Star stays at 14 points, second to last on the table.

Today, Olympic Renk and Victor Juba are set to meet in a rescheduled Round 20 match, to be played in the afternoon at Juba National Stadium.
