Governor Adil Anthony Briefed on Security and Development Situation in Yei County

The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has received a comprehensive briefing on the security and development situation in Yei River County during a meeting with the County Commissioner, Samuel Malimbo, who confirmed that the security situation remains stable and that residents continue to carry out their agricultural activities normally.

Commissioner Malimbo explained that the local authorities are continuing efforts to rehabilitate key infrastructure across the county, highlighting the ongoing rehabilitation of Kanjoro Bridge, which is considered a vital route for transportation and regional connectivity.

The report also addressed ongoing inspection and monitoring activities at the Yei Electricity Corporation (YECO), aimed at securing the facility and supervising maintenance and repair works in preparation for the reliable restoration of electricity services in the county.

Governor Adil praised the efforts being made in the areas of security, development, and infrastructure, directing county authorities to strengthen coordination with security agencies in order to maintain stability and accelerate development.

The Governor further reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting Yei County and addressing the challenges facing the area, expressing hope for restoring Yei to its former status as one of the state’s leading cities in terms of stability, economic activity, and public services.
