Al-Ghazala Wau has become the first team to secure promotion to the South Sudan Premier League after a resounding and record-breaking 10-1 victory over their rival, Itihad Kuajok. This match marked the conclusion of Group A fixtures in the South Sudan National League and was held at Al-Hurriya Square in Aweil.
With this win, the Wau champions reached 7 points, topping the group and advancing ahead of Al-Mudiriya Aweil by 2 points and Zalalan Rumbek by 3 points. Meanwhile, Al-Itihad Kuajok finished at the bottom of the group standings with zero points.
Notably, Al-Nujoum Raja and Madeng Achuing Abyei had withdrawn from the tournament due to various reasons.
As a result of this outcome, Al-Ghazala Wau has qualified for the South Sudan Premier League for the upcoming season. They will represent the Wau Local Football Association in the top division alongside Al-Hilal, who had already secured their place in the Premier League.
Al-Mudiriya 0 – 0 Zalalan
The match between Al-Mudiriya Aweil and Zalalan Rumbek ended in a goalless draw (0-0), concluding the Group A fixtures of the South Sudan National League.
Both teams finished their campaign behind the group leader, Al-Ghazala Wau, who secured qualification to the Premier League for next season.

Al-Salam Bor clinched their first victory in the South Sudan National League with a 3-2 win over Villa United Yambio in the fourth round of Group B in Juba.

Two rounds remain in Group B, which is currently led by Atlabara Juba.
