With a Clean Goal… Al-Ghazala Overcomes Zaalaan

Al-Ghazala Wau secured an important and valuable victory over their rivals, Zaalaan Rumbek, with a narrow 1-0 win in the match held between the two teams yesterday afternoon at Al-Hurriya Field in Aweil. The match was part of the first round of Group A in the South Sudan National League qualifying for the Premier League.

The lone goal of the match was scored by player Al-Sadiq Omar in the 39th minute.

Currently, Al-Mudiriyah tops the standings on goal difference over both Zaalaan and Al-Ghazala, with each team holding 3 points.

Group A matches of the tournament are being played at Al-Hurriya Field in Aweil, while Group B matches are held at Bulluk Stadium in Juba. The top teams from both groups will qualify directly for the Premier League.
