Complicating Their League Position… Wajuma Strike Three Past Nile City

Juba: Al-Wadi

Wajuma Aweil handed yet another defeat to their rivals Nile City Yambio, securing a 3–0 win in the opening match of the 24th round of the Premier League, played yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

Player Aluk Lual was crowned man of the match after netting two of his team’s three goals. The third goal for Wajuma was scored by player Makweth Wol.

With this defeat, Nile City’s hopes of escaping the bottom of the Premier League standings have vanished, with just two rounds remaining in the competition.

As a result, Wajuma raised their tally to 34 points, placing them fifth in the standings, while Nile City remain at the bottom with only 4 points.

Today, the 24th round continues as Salaam Aweil face Bentiu City at noon, while league leaders Kator Juba take on seventh-placed Hilal Wau in the afternoon. Both matches will be held at Juba National Stadium.
