With a Hat-trick Against Al-Malakia… Jamus Continues to Chase Kator

With three unanswered goals in the second half—two by Ishaka Diarra and one by Madet Mayor—Jamus Juba continued its pursuit of Kator Juba at the top of the South Sudan Premier League standings, overcoming Al-Malakia Juba 3-0 in the final match of the 23rd round of the championship yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

Although the first half ended in a goalless draw between the two teams, the league runner-up secured the win by the final whistle.

With this result, Jamus raised its tally to 48 points, remaining in second place in the league table. Meanwhile, Al-Malakia stayed at 34 points, holding fifth place.

Al-Merrikh Deepens the Crisis for Lion Hunters

Al-Merrikh Bentiu defeated its rival Lion Hunters Yei 2-0, in a 23rd-round South Sudan Premier League match held yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

This loss further worsened Lion Hunters’ situation, as the team now remains in the relegation zone.

The first half ended in a goalless draw.

Al-Merrikh’s goals were scored by Tot Maeet and Chan David Majak.

With the win, Al-Merrikh lifted its tally to 37 points, securing fourth place in the standings, while Lion Hunters stayed at 14 points in 11th place on the table.

Today, one match will be played to open the 24th round of the Premier League. It will feature Nile City Yambio and Wajuma Aweil, taking place in the afternoon at Juba National Stadium.
