Al-Wadi: Arop Jongchol
Jamus narrowly escaped their first defeat in the South Sudan Premier League, securing a 3-3 draw against league leaders Kator in a top-billing clash of Matchday 22, held yesterday afternoon at Juba National Stadium.

Despite being four matches behind Kator due to pending fixtures, Jamus dominated the first half in both performance and possession. They took the lead through their captain, the “Sudanese professional” Mohamed Kesra, who scored a precise header following a well-delivered free kick by Cameroonian right-back Thomas Pawak in the 18th minute.

Kator attempted to regroup and stabilize their lines, but Jamus striker Mohamed Adel surprised them with a second goal, firing a shot from inside the box in the 29th minute. The first half ended with Jamus in a comfortable 2-0 lead.

However, early in the second half, Jamus were reduced to ten men when player Mudathir Yahya received a second yellow card and was sent off.
Kator seized the momentum and launched several organized and dangerous attacks on Jamus’s goal. One such effort saw David Sebit “Tutu” reduce the deficit with a shot from outside the box in the 48th minute. Kator’s performance improved significantly afterward, with better coordination across their lines. From his very first touch after coming onto the field, substitute Abraham Shudier tut leveled the score with a direct free kick that flew into the top corner to the right of Jamus’s goalkeeper in the 67th minute.

The remaining minutes of the match turned into a thrilling contest. Just one minute before regular time ended, Jamus equalized again with a third goal from substitute Yohanna Paulino “Sissè”, who headed in a powerful shot from Bawak’s corner, beating Godwill Yogusuk—a dramatic and decisive goal.
Both teams pushed for a winning goal during the six minutes of additional time added by referee Salomon Okiri, but the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
With this result, Kator maintains its lead at the top of the table with 50 points, while Jamus remains second with 45 points.
