Yei Joint Star Defeats Simba in the South Sudan Women’s League

Yei Joint Star triumphed over Simba Juba with a score of 3-1 in the opening match of the inaugural South Sudan Women’s League. The match was held at the Juba National Stadium.

The goals for Yei Joint Star were scored by Mbayo, Annette, and Harriet, while Simba’s lone goal came from player Helen. The game ended with a 3-1 victory for Yei’s women, securing their first three points on the road to winning the first edition of the women’s league.

Munuki Crushes Al-Malakia 4-1

Munuki Juba’s women’s team defeated Al-Malakia Juba 4-1 in the first round of the inaugural South Sudan Women’s League.

The match between Al-Merrikh Juba and Al-Rabita Juba, scheduled for April 7, was postponed due to the unavailability of Dar Al-Salaam Stadium.

Three other matches were also postponed on Tuesday as part of the first round of the league. The first between Wajuma Aweil and Atlabara Juba in the morning at Juba National Stadium, the second between Merrikh Bentiu and Saint Peter Juba in the morning at Buluk Playground, and the third between Bentiu City and Kator Juba in the afternoon at Dar Al-Salaam Stadium.

The inaugural edition of the South Sudan Women’s League features 12 teams from four local associations: Juba, Yei, Aweil, and Bentiu. The league is played in a double round-robin format.
