Majak Ajuong Wanyjok repeated their triumph over Ghazala Wau with a 2-0 win in the second leg of the first round of the South Sudan National Cup. The match was held yesterday afternoon at Al-Hurriya Playground in Rumbek as part of Group A.

The team had previously secured a 2-1 win in the first leg, allowing the Wanyjok champions to qualify with a 4-1 aggregate score across both legs.
With this victory, Majak Ajuong joins Al-A’mal Al-Hurra Kuajok and Aweil United in the second round of the tournament.

Today marks the final return-leg matches of the first round in this group. Abyei’s champion, Mading Achueng, will aim to secure a spot in the next round, while Gold Star Rumbek looks to maintain its dominance after a 4-1 victory in the first leg. This match will also take place in the afternoon at Al-Hurriya Playground.
In Group B, based in Juba, the second-round matches will also be played today. The first encounter features reigning champions Jamus Juba facing Nile City, champions of Yambio, at noon at Juba National Stadium. The second match will see last season’s runner-up, Al-Merrikh Bentiu, take on Koryom Bor in the afternoon, also at Juba National Stadium.
