Amarat United regained its winning form with a 2-1 victory over Gudele in the opening match of the 20th round of the local First Division League in Juba, played yesterday afternoon at Buluk Playground.
The first half ended in a goalless draw.
Just two minutes into the second half, Amarat United opened the scoring through Bona. Later, Nairobi doubled the lead from a penalty kick in the 65th minute.
In the final minute of regular time, Rami pulled one back for Gudele, but it was not enough to prevent Amarat United from securing a 2-1 victory.
With this win, Amarat United now has 32 points, placing them fourth in the standings. Meanwhile, Gudele remains at 17 points, sitting in 10th place.
Today, Citizen and Al-Zilzal will face off in another match of the 20th round, scheduled for the afternoon at Buluk Playground.
