President Salva Kiir Mayardit received a detailed report on the general situation in Unity State during a meeting with the Governor of Unity State, General Judge Riek Biem Top, at the presidential office.
President Kiir reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving security and expediting critical infrastructure projects in Unity State.
Governor of Unity State, General Riek Biem, noted that his state is experiencing relative security stability despite some security lapses, which he described as isolated incidents. He emphasized that the state government is intensifying efforts to address criminal activities and ensure the safety of citizens in the region.

Governor Biem also mentioned that he discussed major infrastructure projects with the President, including the construction of roads linking Unity State with Warrap and Lakes States. These roads are considered vital for facilitating the movement of citizens and goods from the capital Juba to Bentiu, the capital of Unity State. He confirmed that the President promised to remove all obstacles and accelerate the implementation of these crucial projects.
