Bentiu LFA postpones the Cup final for the third time

The organizing committee for the South Sudan Local Cup in Bentiu has postponed, for the third time, the date of the final match of the competition, between Al-Merrikh and Bentiu City. The match was initially scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at Independence Stadium in Bentiu.

Originally, the Cup final was set for October 27, then postponed to November 2, and later to November 9. Now, it has been rescheduled once again to November 12 for various reasons.

The local union notified the management of both clubs about the delay, explaining that it was requested by the governor of Unity State, Riek Biem Top, who intends to attend the match in person.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the union said, “The organizing committee apologizes to the fans and the club managements for the inconvenience caused by rescheduling from November 9 to November 12.”
