South Sudan’s basketball team kicks off qualifiers against Morocco

The South Sudanese national team will start their games in the 2025 BAL Africa Basketball League qualifiers against Morocco tomorrow, Friday, in the Senegalese capital, Dakar. As part of Group A matches.

Along with South Sudan and Morocco in the first group in the qualifiers, it included the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali.

South Sudan will face Mali in the second match the day after Saturday. Meanwhile, the DR Congo will play their final match in the first qualifying round on Sunday, November 24.

The rest of the qualifying groups are as follows:

Group B: Cape Verde – Libya – Uganda – Nigeria

Group C: Senegal – Cameroon – Rwanda – Gabon

Group D: Cote d’Ivoire – Egypt – Madagascar – Central Africa

Group E: Tunisia – Angola – Kenya – Guinea

The teams in each group will compete for three places in the decisive phase of the qualifying stage to qualify for the finals.

The Kingdom of Morocco is likely to host the decisive stage of the qualifiers in February next year.
