This morning, Ambassador Monday Semaya K. Kumba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Philippe Michel-Kleisbauer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of South Sudan, to discuss key regional and international developments.
The meeting highlighted France’s readiness to support South Sudan in conducting free, fair, and credible elections scheduled for December 2026, and also announced South Sudan’s participation in the upcoming France–Africa Summit in Nairobi, Republic of Kenya.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and to working together to advance shared priorities, within the framework of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing political and economic cooperation.
