The National Health Minister, Sara Klito Rial, shared on her official Facebook page details of her participation in the 2nd Global Summit on Traditional Medicine organized by the World Health Organization, hosted by the Republic of India from December 17 to 19.

The minister explained that she took part in the summit’s opening session, expressing pride in participating in this global health event, which discusses ways to develop and enhance the role of traditional medicine in modern health systems.
She also mentioned her visit to the All India Institute and Hospital of Ayurveda, where she closely observed India’s experience in the field of traditional medicine, noting its rich historical heritage and practical applications that contribute to promoting holistic health and general well-being.
The National Health Minister emphasized that this participation highlights the importance of integrating evidence-based traditional medicine into health systems, taking into account cultural values, scientific standards, and patient safety. She expressed her anticipation of strengthening international cooperation in this field to help achieve health balance and improve healthcare services for all.
