The Maale Folklore Group is preparing to organize a major cultural festival in celebration of its 24th anniversary, under the theme: “Reviving Our Heritage Through Dance, Unity, and Cultural Pride.”
The group’s founder, Mr. Deng Nyal, stated that preparations are underway to ensure the success of the event, noting that the celebration will be held in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, on the first of December.
Nyal explained that official invitations will be extended to several prominent national figures, including community leaders, politicians, intellectuals, and writers. He affirmed the group’s commitment to presenting a festival worthy of the nation and reflective of the unity and cultural diversity that characterize South Sudan.
He added that the Maale Folklore Group has consistently presented traditional performances with the aim of preserving cultural identity and passing it on to future generations. He further called on business leaders and capable institutions to support such cultural initiatives, as they help showcase the country’s heritage and introduce the world to South Sudan’s cultural identity.
