Vice President Taban Deng Gai Launched SPECO to promote affordable housing and Infrastructure in Juba

Vice President and Head of the Infrastructure Sector, Taban Deng Gai, inaugurated today in the capital Juba the SPECO Construction Company, under the slogan:
“We build with intelligence, innovation, strength, and sustainability — for better housing in South Sudan.”


The new company aims to provide affordable and sustainable housing and infrastructure solutions that contribute to improving citizens’ lives and meeting their needs across the country.
In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, the Vice President emphasized that this step aligns with the vision of His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit, which seeks to enhance access to basic social services, especially education and healthcare.

“The government encourages all

investments that help citizens access education and healthcare. With the affordable solutions offered by SPECO, the government will soon begin building schools and clinics in rural areas across all states.”

For his part, Mr. Henok Tekle,vice presidentanager of SPECO, said that the company represents a qualitative addition to South Sudan’s construction sector, noting that it will create job opportunities for youth and promote innovation in sustainable housing.


He explained that the company relies on modern EPS panel technology, known for its high cost efficiency, durability, and environmental sustainability, and widely used in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
According to the project organizers, SPECO is expected to contribute to urban development in the country and support the government’s efforts to improve living standards and provide suitable housing for citizens.
