This morning, Major General Onok Okaj Lual, Governor of Fashoda County, arrived in Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State, according to an announcement made by the Governor’s Office on its official Facebook page.
The governor was accompanied by members of the Fashoda County Secretariat of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), along with community leaders and elders, the Chairperson of the County Youth Union, youth league representatives, and the Chairlady of the Women’s Union. In addition, a number of Fashoda County citizens residing in Malakal joined the delegation.
The visit is part of a series of joint meetings held at the state headquarters aimed at strengthening peace and reconciliation efforts in Upper Nile State.
The meetings will focus on community peace, development issues, and matters concerning youth and women, with the goal of enhancing community cooperation and achieving stability and sustainable development in the state.
