Foreign Minister Represents South Sudan at the Second Global Summit on Social Development in Doha

The Second Global Summit on Social Development was launched in the Qatari capital, Doha, with wide participation from world leaders and United Nations officials. Ambassador Monday Semaya K. Kumba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan, attended the summit alongside an official delegation.

The minister represented His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit, the President of the Republic, as well as the government and people of South Sudan, participating in the opening session, the plenary session, and the roundtable discussions focused on advancing social development globally.

The summit was attended by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, several heads of state, foreign ministers; the UN Secretary-General; the President of the UN General Assembly and representatives of governments and UN agencies, highlighting the importance of international cooperation to achieve sustainable development and promote social justice worldwide.
