The newly elected members of the Executive Committee of the South Sudan Football Federation, in their first meeting held this afternoon at the Federation’s headquarters, decided to postpone the start date of the South Sudan Premier League for the 2025–2026 season.

The meeting was chaired by the new President of the Federation, Francis Amin, and attended by the Second Vice President and the Secretary-General of the Federation.
The members attributed the postponement to allowing the new administration more time to finalize a number of administrative, technical, and logistical arrangements before the league begins. They also emphasized the need to provide favorable conditions for the national team ahead of its two World Cup qualifying matches during the upcoming international break.

The decision, published on the Federation’s official Facebook page, added that the new competitions department will issue an updated fixture schedule for the Premier League matches in the coming days.
