Vice President Josephine Lagu Yanga Receives New Warrap State Governor to Enhance Cooperation and Development

Vice President and Chair of the Service Cluster, Josephine Lagu Yanga, officially received the new Governor of Warrap State, Ambassador Bol Wek, in a courtesy visit at her office in Juba.

During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the national government and the Warrap State government, with an emphasis on the urgent need to achieve peace, stability, and sustainable development in the state.

Vice President Lagu congratulated Governor Bol Wek on assuming his position, affirming her full support for the state leadership in developing its services and improving governance to restore public trust.

For his part, Governor Bol Wek pledged to restore security and stability in Warrap State, focusing on developing vital sectors such as health, education, and infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of unity and reconciliation as key pillars for the success of his administration.

The Vice President confirmed the Service Cluster’s readiness to work with the Warrap State leadership to achieve the desired peace and prosperity.
