Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets with Médecins Sans Frontières Representatives to Enhance Cooperation and Discuss Humanitarian Challenges in South Sudan

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Akuei Bona Malwal, held a meeting with a delegation from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) led by Ms. Kristi Young. During the meeting, they discussed areas of joint cooperation and the challenges faced by the organization in delivering humanitarian services in the Republic of South Sudan.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of continuous coordination between the Ministry and MSF to ensure the safety of humanitarian workers and facilities, affirming the government’s appreciation for the significant efforts made by the organization in supporting and improving the health situation of those affected within the country.

For its part, Médecins Sans Frontières renewed its commitment to providing vital medical services in coordination with the relevant authorities, stressing its dedication to sustaining humanitarian work in South Sudan despite ongoing challenges.
