Amadjang overcomes Al Merrikh on penalties in Abyei

Amadjang defeated Al-Merrikh 5/4 on penalties from the penalty spot. In the match between the two teams in the first round of this season’s South Sudan Cup in Abyei, Amadjang defeated Al Merrikh 5/4 on penalties. After the match ended in a goalless draw at the Molmol Stadium, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw.

The first half ended in a goalless draw. In the second half, Al Merrikh took the lead in the 81st minute through a penalty kick.

Kola equalized the score for Amadjang through another penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time. The two teams went to a penalty shootout in which Amadjang won 5/4 to advance to the third round of the tournament.

The second round of the competition continues today between Nile Abethook and Mayom Ngok at the Mulmul Playground.
