Juba: Al-Wadi
Last Saturday, the matches of the South Sudan National League, which qualifies for South Sudan Premier League, kicked off in Aweil, the capital of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
The opening match of Group One featured a face-off between Al-Mudiriya, the champions of Aweil, and Al-Ittihad, the champions of Kuajok, held in the afternoon at Freedom Square. Al-Mudiriya won the match 3–1.

Goals for Al-Mudiriya were scored by Ober Mao (two goals) and one by player Zol Aswoud in the 43rd, 62nd, and 75th minutes, respectively. Al-Ittihad’s sole goal was scored by Walid Bol in the 50th minute.
As a result, Al-Mudiriya tops Group One with 3 points, while Al-Ittihad remains without any points.
Zalan Claims Victory Over Al-Nujum
Zalan of Rumbek was awarded a victory over his rival Al-Nujum of Raja after the latter announced its withdrawal from the tournament due to financial reasons.

Rumbek’s team was deemed the winner by a score of 2–0, raising their tally to 3 points, placing them behind the group leader Al-Mudiriya only by goal difference.
Group One of the National League includes six teams: Al-Mudiriya (Aweil), Al-Ittihad (Kuajok), Al-Nujum (Raja), Zalan (Rumbek), Al-Ghazala (Wau), and Mading Achueng (Abyei). These clubs are the champions of the local leagues under the umbrella of the South Sudan Football Association.
Champions from Malakal, Nasir, and Bentiu associations are absent from this edition of the qualifiers for the Premier League. All matches are being held at Freedom Square in Aweil. The top team from each group will directly qualify for the next Premier League season.
Today, Al-Ghazala (Wau) will face Mading Achueng (Abyei) in the final match of the first round for Group One, to be played in the afternoon at Freedom Square in Aweil.
In Group Two… Atlabara Overcomes Volcano
Atlabara of Juba overcame the challenge posed by Al-Volcano of Torit with a 3–1 victory in the opening match of Group Two, held at Buluk Playground in Juba.

Juba’s champions scored through Kenty Anthony (two goals in the 20th and 40th minutes) and Kiir Mangar (71st minute). Al-Volcano’s only goal was scored by Mufid Elfeel in the 51st minute.

With this result, Atlabara moves to the top of Group Two with 3 points, while Al-Volcano remains with no points.
With a Single Goal… Atlabara Yei Defeats Al-Salam
Atlabara Yei achieved an important and valuable 1–0 win over Al-Salam of Bor in the second match of the first round in Group Two of National League.

The only goal of the match was scored by Alex Khamees in the 77th minute.

The Yei champions climbed to the top of Group Two with 3 points, ahead of Atlabara Juba by goal difference.
Villa United Awarded Points Against Amatong
Villa United of Yambio was awarded points for their match against Amatong after the team from Melut failed to appear for the match.

Group Two consists of seven clubs: Atlabara (Juba), Volcano (Torit), Atlabara (Yei), Al-Salam (Bor), Villa United (Yambio), Al-Shati (Renk), and Amatong (Melut). All matches are played at Buluk Playground in Juba.

Today, Atlabara Yei will face Al-Shati Renk in the opening match of the second round for Group Two, to be played in the afternoon at Buluk Playground in Juba.
