Koryom Crushes Atlabara with a 6-1 Victory in the Cup

Koryom Port secured a massive and resounding victory over their rivals, Atlabara Yei, with a 6-1 win in the second leg of the first round of the South Sudan National Cup, Group B (Juba), yesterday afternoon at Buluk Playground.

Garang put Koryom ahead in the 24th minute, but Koken equalized for Atlabara just two minutes later. Then, Gatyiek restored Koryom’s lead with a second goal in the 31st minute, ending the first half with a 2-1 advantage.

Just two minutes into the second half, Christopher netted Koryom’s third goal. Gatkek scored his second of the match and his team’s fourth in the 51st minute. Mudasiri added the fifth goal in the 66th minute, and Christopher sealed the rout with his second and Koryom’s sixth goal in the 86th minute.

With this result, Koryom is now on the brink of qualifying for the second round ahead of the return leg on April 7.

Jamus Juba Face Saint Mary Terekeka Today

Today, Jamus Juba will take on Saint Mary Terekeka in the second leg of the first round of the tournament. The defending champions, Jamus, dominated the first leg with a 5-0 victory.

Al-Merrikh Twic and Aweil United played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the tournament’s first round yesterday at Freedom playground in Group A (Rumbek).

Al-Merrikh took the lead in the first half through player Makuac, but Aweil United equalized via Garang.

Simba Malakal, the defending champions of Malakal, edged Athangcheng Fashoda 1-0 in the first leg of the South Sudan National Cup, Group C (Renk), yesterday at Renk Stadium.

The two teams will meet again in the return leg to determine who advances to the second round of the tournament.

Today, the teams Al-Salam Kaka and Ban Te Wiyan from Maban will face off in the first leg of the tournament’s first round in the afternoon at Al-Rank Stadium.
