Jau City Stages Comeback Against Ngulawa United in South Sudan National Cup

Jau City from Panriang secured a crucial 3-2 victory against Ngulawa United from Nimule in a thrilling match at Juba National Stadium. This fixture was part of the preliminary round of Group B (Juba) in the 14th edition of the South Sudan National Cup for the 2024-2025 season.

The goals for Jau City were scored by Lual, Kombonyaki, and Mayath, while Stephen and Samson netted for Ngulawa United.

The two teams will meet again on Friday afternoon at Bullock Playground for the second leg of the preliminary round.

The winner between Jau City and Ngulawa United will face Nile City Yambio in the first round of the tournament.

Calvanic Overcomes Saint Mary

Meanwhile, Calvanic Nimule edged past Saint Mary Terekeka with a 3-2 victory in the opening match of Group B at Juba National Stadium.

Shadrack (twice) and Baraj scored for Calvanic, while Simon and Samuel found the net for Saint Mary.

The second leg between the two teams is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Bullock Playground.

The winner on aggregate will go on to face last season’s champions, Jamus Juba, in the first round of the tournament.
