Kator maintains top spot despite draw against Koryom

Kator Juba maintained their lead in the South Sudan Premier League, despite a goalless draw with their rivals Koryom Bor. In the eighth round of the championship.

Kator remained on top with 20 points, while Koryom’s 19 points moved them up to third place in the standings.

Olympic 0 / 1 Al Salam

Al Salam Aweil secured a 1-0 win over Olympic Renk in the eighth round of the competition.

Thomas Tong scored the only goal of the game right from the start of the match. The referee announced the end of the match as Salaam beat Olympic by a solitary goal.

Al Salam increased their tally to 11 points in sixth place. Olympique’s tally stood at just one point in the penultimate position in the table.

Al Malakia 1/0 Al Hilal

Malakia Juba defeated Al Hilal Wau by a goal without reply, in the eighth round of the Premier League.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.
Kassimo scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute. The match ended with Malakia beating Al Hilal by a goal to nil.

Al Malakia raised their tally to 10 points in seventh place. Al Hilal’s tally stood at 4 points in 12th place in the table.

Lion Hunters 2 / 1 Nile City

The Lion Hunters Yie secured a 2-1 win over Nile City Yambio in the eighth round of the competition.

Nile City scored the first goal of the match through Alexander in the 36th minute, which ended the first half.

In the second half, Away equalised in the 55th minute and Salmon scored the winning goal in the 65th minute.

With the result, the Lion Hunters raised their tally to 4 points in 11th place. Nile City remain without any points in last place.

Jamus 2 / 1 Al Merreikh

Jamus Juba defeated Al Merreikh Bentiu by two goals to one in the eighth round of the tournament.

The match ended in a goalless draw.

Al Merriekh scored the first goal of the match through Mohammed Musa Al Dai in the 46th minute. Mohammed Adel equalised for Jamus in the 59thminute.

In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Patrick Patrick scored the winning goal for Jamus. The game ended with Jamus beating Al Merrikh by two goals to one.

With this result, Jamus raised their tally to 20 points in second place, while Al Merrikh’s tally stood at 18 points in fourth place.

Two matches will be played today to conclude the eighth round of the tournament. The first match between Holy Family Rumbek and Wajuma will take place at noon, while the second match will Young Star Torit and Bentiu City meet in the afternoon. All matches will be played at the Juba National Stadium.
