Presidential Decrees Relieving Administrative Officials in the Government

President Salva Kiir Mayardit issued several presidential decrees on the national television (South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation), relieving several government officials. Among those removed from their positions was Ambassador Albino Matom Ayuel, the President’s Special Envoy.

Additionally, Dr. Chol Deng Thon was relieved from his position as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum, with Engineer Deng Luol Wol appointed as his replacement. Main Wol Jong was also removed from his role as Technical Advisor in the Ministry of Petroleum, and Dr. William Anyak Deng was appointed in his place.

President Kiir also issued decisions relieving and dismissing officials in the Unity State government.
