
Juba: Al-Naeim Mubarak Kuol
President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto have directed the Tumaini Peace Initiative mediation team to reconvene and address outstanding issues. This directive came during a high-level presidential summit between the two leaders in Juba.
Kenya’s National Security Advisor Dr. Monica Juma stated that the two leaders agreed to secure regional support for the Tumaini Initiative and urged IGAD to mobilize the necessary resources and international support from TROIKA countries to ensure full implementation of the initiative.

#South Sudan-Kenya Relations
The two leaders reaffirmed the long-standing historical ties between South Sudan and Kenya and renewed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
Dr. Juma explained that among the agreements in the leaders’ meeting was the construction of an 11 kilometers road between Nadapal and Nakodok, a project aimed at enhancing trade and movement between the two countries.

#Success of the Strategic
Partnership Between the Two CountriesSouth Sudan’s Minister of Presidential Affairs, Ambassador Chol Mawut Ajongo, stated that the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Juba and Nairobi, confirming that the two leaders acknowledged the success achieved with the signing of nine protocols, which have now been initiated, marking an important step in the partnership between the two countries.

This meeting highlights the ongoing commitment of both South Sudan and Kenya to regional peace, cooperation, and economic development.
