Zarzal regain their winning streak by sweeping Citizen

Al Zazzal swept Citizen by a whopping five goals to one, in the final match of the 14th round of the Juba Congo League for this season, yesterday afternoon at the Buluk Playground.

The earthquake returned to the winning track after a surprise defeat in the last round against Nyakuron by a 3-0 margin.

First Citizen took the lead. Zalzal scored the equaliser and added a second goal before the end of the first half.

They added three more goals in the second half. The game ended with a 5/1 victory for Zalzal over Citizen.

Al Zazzal increased their tally to 16 points in sixth place. Citizen’s tally stood at 10 points, leaving them in 10th place in the league table.

The tournament continues today. Al Merrikh and Amarat United will meet in a postponed match from the fifth round of the league in the afternoon at Buluk Playground.
