The Commander of the 4th Infantry Division of the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces in Unity State, Maj. Gen. Mathew Puljang, made an official visit to the Ruweng Administrative Area.
He was welcomed by the Chief Administrator, Hon. Tiob De Monyluak De Diran, who expressed his appreciation for Puljang’s visit to the headquarters of the Ruweng Administrative Area since his appointment as the commander of the 4th Infantry Division in Unity State.

Tiob described Maj. Gen. Puljang’s appointment as an important step toward achieving peace in the Ruweng Administrative Area and Unity State.
Monyluak noted that since Maj. Gen. Puljang took command, the area has become more stable than ever, with a significant decrease in cattle raiding incidents.
In his remarks, Maj. Gen. Puljang thanked the people of Ruweng for the warm welcome.

He emphasized that his primary mission is to eradicate cattle theft and prevent instability between the Ruweng Administrative Area and Unity State, working to promote lasting peace on both sides. Mathew added that during his tenure, he wants to ensure that the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces will not tolerate cattle rustlers who threaten the security of neighboring communities.
Maj. Gen. Puljang concluded his speech by pledging to work closely with the Governor of Unity State and the Chief Administrator of the Ruweng Administrative Area to ensure the safety and security of civilians.
