Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Commends the Work of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Monday Semaya Kumba, held a productive meeting with a delegation from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, led by Job Muriuki, the Fund’s Portfolio Manager for Africa and the Middle East. The meeting focused on areas of cooperation.Ambassador Monday praised the delegation’s visit, commending the long-standing partnership with the country. He reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating the Fund’s work, highlighting its importance in supporting the government’s efforts to improve the health sector in South Sudan.For his part, Muriuki thanked Ambassador Semaya for the warm welcome and hospitality, noting that the Fund will work with the Ministry of Health to combat preventive diseases.He expressed their desire to expand the scope of cooperation between the Government of South Sudan and the Global Fund to fight infectious diseases.
