South Sudan’s Central Bank Governor Dr. James Alice Returned to Juba

Dr. James Alice Garang, the Governor of the Central Bank of South Sudan, returned to the country today after participating in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group meetings in Washington, D.C., USA.
These meetings are considered a vital platform for global financial leaders to come together to discuss global economic trends and international policies.


Governor Garang presented South Sudan’s vision and solutions to improve economic growth and met with international officials to exchange views on how to support developing country and foster their growth in all political and economic areas.


The delegation was received upon arrival by the First Deputy Governor, Mr. Samuel Yanga Mekaya, and officials from the bank.
