CECAFA junior qualifiers draw. South Sudan in Group B

The draw for the East and Central Africa Confederation “Cecafa” qualifiers for the under-17 teams has placed South Sudan in Group B.

Eight teams are participating in these qualifiers, divided into two groups, with four teams in each group.

Our junior national team faces the challenge of Sudan, Kenya and the defending champions, Somalia. Ethiopia, Tanzania, Burundi and Uganda, the hosts of the qualifiers, are in Group A.

The qualifiers will take place between December 14-27. All matches will be played at Al Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo and St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Somalia are the defending champions of this qualifying tournament, which was held in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa in 2022. They beat South Sudan 3/1 in the final match.
