Mauien Majok leads Abyei Super Eagle to sweep Taj Alei with a 7-0 win in the cup

Mauien Majok led his team and defending champions Abyei Super Eagle to sweep their rivals Taj Alei by a whopping seven clean goals. The match took place yesterday at Mulmul Playground, as part of the third round of the South Sudan Local Cup in Abyei.

Abyei Super Eagles opened the scoring through Chol in the 14th minute. Sella added the second goal in the 43rd minute, which ended the first half of the match.

In the second half, Sella scored his second personal goal and his team’s third in the 58th minute. It was the turn of the match’s star player, Mauien Majok, to score his team’s fourth and fifth goals in the 67th and 78th minutes, respectively.

Deng Monychol added the sixth goal for Abyei Super Eagles in the 87th minute, and then star player Mauien Majok concluded his team’s goal fest with his third hat-trick and seventh goal in the added time of the match.

With this result, Abyei Super Eagle will face Amadjang in the first semi-final of the tournament.

The third round of the tournament will conclude today with a much between Mading Achueng and Galbalased in the afternoon at the Mulmul Playground.
