The National Ministry of Health of South Sudan, in collaboration with the Unity State Ministry of Health, has held a state-level meeting to promote and strengthen the mass distribution campaign of Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) in Unity State.
The program aims to reduce malaria transmission by ensuring universal coverage of high-quality mosquito nets, as part of ongoing efforts to improve public health and disease prevention across the state.
The meeting brought together a number of officials and stakeholders, including the Minister of Local Government and Acting Governor of Unity State, the National Minister of Health, the Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, County Commissioners, local authorities, representatives of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces, as well as representatives of NGOs and international partners.



Participants emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign and the achievement of its public health objectives.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that it will continue to provide updates on the progress of the program in its various phases.
