Official Meetings in Juba Focus on Health Cooperation and Women’s Empowerment

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, Akuei Bona Malual, held an official meeting with the National Minister of Health, Sarah Cleto Rial, at her office in Juba.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to strengthen coordination between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health, with a focus on enhancing health diplomacy and supporting national healthcare programmes to improve service delivery to citizens.

In a related development, the Minister of Health also received Nyandeng Malek, former Governor of Warrap State, during a courtesy visit that addressed issues of women’s empowerment and the leadership role of women in society.

In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, Minister Sarah Cleto expressed her appreciation for the encouragement and support she received, praising Nyandeng Malek’s wisdom and continued role in promoting women’s empowerment across the country.

She added that the meeting provided valuable advice and moral support in her role as Minister of Health, emphasizing the importance of remaining committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the population.

The Minister concluded by expressing gratitude for the solidarity and support of women leaders who continue to lead, inspire, and uplift others across society.
