Unity State: Al-Wadi Newspaper
The Governor of Unity State, Judge Riek Bim Top, arrived in Wangbuor Payam in Mayom County, following an attack carried out by some youths from the county on the Oriving area within the neighboring Rowin Administration. He reaffirmed his strong commitment to strengthening peacebuilding efforts in the region.
The visit is part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to promote reconciliation and peace among the various communities in the county, and to foster a culture of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding among residents.
The Governor also visited Bong, the headquarters of Pub Payam, to assess the security situation following recent incidents, with the aim of launching extensive peace campaigns and identifying and addressing potential security threats.
Governor of Unity State Inaugurates Rubkona Road and Unity Oil Fields after Rehabilitation
Judge Riek Bim Top officially inaugurated the Rubkona road leading to the Unity oil fields, following the completion of a five-month rehabilitation project.
The project aims to enhance connectivity between regions, facilitate trade, and improve access to essential services, benefiting local communities. The official opening of the road marks an important step in strengthening social interaction, supporting security and peace efforts, and contributing to sustainable development across the state.
