Last season’s reigning South Sudan Cup champions, Abyei Super Eagles, crushed their rivals, Achiu, by six goals to one. In the second round match of the tournament, held at the Mulmuplayground.
Abyei Super Eagle’s Chol Ayuel opened the scoring in the 15th minute. His teammate Malik added a second goal in the 43rd minute. Chol Kiir scored his second goal and his team’s third in the 45th minute. The first half ended with Abbey Super Eagle leading by three goals.

In the second half, 10 minutes into the second half, Malik scored Abyei Super Eagle’s fourth goal. Tor added the fifth goal in the 68th minute.
In the 69th minute, Ashiu Jiel scored his team’s only goal of the match. One minute before the final whistle, Abyei Super Eagle’s Mauien rounded off the scoring with the sixth goal.
The referee showed a red card to Achiu player Kiir in the 82nd minute of the match.
With this result, Abyei Super Eagle advanced to the third round of the tournament, continuing their title defense campaign.

Taj Alei 1(4)/(2)1 Rubmamer City
Taj Alei made it to the third round of the tournament after winning on penalties 4/2 against Rubmamer City in the second round of the tournament.
The match had ended in a goalless draw between the two teams. The game went to a penalty shootout to decide who would advance to the third round.
The goals were scored by Deng for Taj Alei. While Arop scored for Rubmamamer City.
Amadjang, Nile Aethook and Abyei Super Eagle are now in the third round.
The second round of the tournament continues today with the match between last season’s runners-up Abyei City and Mading Ashweng at the Mulmulplayground.
